Pathways Crisis Intervention Services: Pathways is the behavioral health component of West Tennessee Healthcare. The Crisis Intervention Service is available in Emergency Services in that this service handles psychiatric emergencies. Crisis clinicians are dispatched to the client's home or to the Emergency Department to conduct assessments and make appropriate referrals. Emergency "6103" admissions for inpatient psychiatric care can be performed by members of the crisis team. Crisis staff consists of clinicians with bachelors or masters degrees.
Mobile Crisis Response: Crisis services are provided through state funding for these counties: Crockett, Dyer, Haywood, Henderson, Lake, Madison, Obion, and Weakley.
The primary goal of crisis services is to respond as early and as quickly as possible to a serious mental health crisis in order to facilitate appropriate and safe resolution. Crisis services are performed by mental healthcare providers who respond to mental health emergencies at sites throughout the community including residences, hospital emergency departments, public places, etc. The service is available 24 hours-a-day, seven days-per-week by calling 1-800-372-0693.
